Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA), New York, NY

I photographed signage at the Museum of Chinese in America, designed by Pentagram. The museum was designed by Maya Lin.

Founded in 1980, Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) is dedicated to preserving and presenting the history, heritage, culture and diverse experiences of people of Chinese descent in the United States. Later this year, the greatly expanded MOCA at 215 Centre Street will continue to be a national home for the precious narratives of diverse Chinese American communities, while striving to be a model among interactive museums.–from the MOCA website.

Five Franklin Place

I posted this series of Five Franklin Place awhile back. With the showroom, identity and promotional book designed by Pentagram, they posted some of the photos on their website.

Harlem Stage at The Gatehouse

The Gatehouse, built in 1890, is located at Convent Avenue and 135th Street. Originally a pumping station used to distribute water from the Croton Aqueduct in Westchester County to New York City, the building is now a new space for performing arts.

Noguchi Museum

And the rest of the photos I took in LIC while in and around the Noguchi Museum.
